Plaques
The markers set in the ground and on the walls: the history of the jump, the record holders, the town.
Angels Camp has celebrated its jumping-frog history since 1928, with winning frogs and their handlers immortalized in brass along the historic sidewalks. New markers are added every year, alongside the frog statues and murals found throughout town.
There is currently no single guide documenting all of them, so we decided to create one.
We know some are still missing. If you know the story behind a frog, plaque, family, statue, or mural, please send us a frog update so we can keep the collection growing.

This is a community guide and it is being built in the open. When a frog is recorded it appears here, and on every site that has borrowed this map.

If you know one, you can put it on the map.

The frogs themselves. Stop, pose, take the photograph.
Painted, on the sides of buildings. Worth looking up for.
